US banks seek more mortgage proposal comment time - 2006-01-26
Lenders this week approached U.S. regulators to extend a comment period on a proposal that suggests stricter underwriting on new mortgage products that may pose greater risks for banks and borrowers as interest rates go up. Comments were due Feb. 27, but lenders have asked the Federal Reserve and other regulators for 30 additional days.

Woods makes real estate splash - 2006-01-26
Tiger Woods' love of the ocean is what bought him to South Florida. That's what he revealed Wednesday about officially closing on the acquisition of a $38 million oceanfront compound on Jupiter Island. The price paid for the 10-acre property has a principal home, a beach house and two guest houses. It is the biggest single residential sale in Martin County history.
