Existing-Home Sales Slow in December - 2006-02-23 Home resales in the United States dropped 5.7% in December to the lowest level since March 2004 as the market slowed on the back of less robust Midwest economies and the loss of investors, a trade group declared Wednesday. U.S. Economy: Jobless Claims Unexpectedly Fell - 2006-02-23 First-time claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly dropped last week and the total number of Americans recieving jobless benefits remained close to a five- year low, signs the labor market is gathering strength as the economy accelerates.
