Snow says U.S. economy on clear expansion track - 2006-02-27
U.S. economic growth was robust and benefiting from tame core inflation, Treasury Secretary John Snow declared on Monday as he reiterated long-standing arguments for tax cuts to be made permanent. Market participants are concerned that high energy prices might prompt the Federal Reserve to hike interest rates more than currently expected.

Los Angeles-Area Housing Still Nation's Least Affordable - 2006-02-27
The Los Angeles metropolitan area is still the nation's least affordable housing market for the sixth consecutive quarter in the final three months of last year, a trade association revealed. In the Los Angeles/Glendale/Long Beach area, only 2.3 percent of the homes sold in the 2005 fourth quarter were affordable to families earning the median income of $54,500.
