Consumers concerned about U.S. economy - 2006-03-10
Consumer confidence has decreased. A new survey finds it much lower than February's 16-month high. Even with the drop, analysts expect consumers to be in a generally good frame of mind about the economy, although they are becoming more concerned about the future. These includes the housing market, mortgage rates and energy bills.

Housing slows down: But analysts predict activity will stay moderate - 2006-03-10
The pace of housing construction abated last month from a sizzling January but was still more robust than expected, which analysts suggest the long expected housing slowdown will be moderate and not act as a drag on the overall economy. Canadian housing activity is still above trend and there is no reason to think that a sharp correction is around the corner.
