US economy solid but risks ahead-Fed's Minehan - 2006-03-20
The near-term outlook for the U.S. economy is quite promising but faces challenges from rising inflation and a slowing housing market, Cathy Minehan, president of the Boston Federal Reserve Bank, revealed on Monday. Healthy consumer spending should remain a fundamental driver for the economy but it will depend significantly on the labor market.
