Real estate market in state may be stabilizing - 2006-03-24
Massachusetts home sales fell by only 1.7 percent last month while prices stayed flat, an indication that the housing market may be stabilizing as the busy spring real estate market starts. While sales were a bit slower from last year, the rate of decline appears to have cooled off dramatically. In January, sales were down 21 percent from a year earlier.

Home price stability emerges - 2006-03-24
Home sales in the Bay State abated for a fifth straight month in February as mortgage rates nudged up and higher energy costs cooled potential buyers’ enthusiasm.
David Wluka, the president of the Waltham-based Realtors group, declared there are still many buyers in the market but they are taking longer to settle on a property.
