Inc. 500 Mortgage Firm Acquired - 2007-02-05
CoreLogic, a Sacramento, Calif-based mortgage risk management firm, is being combined with First American Real Estate Solutions, a real estate data service, the companies jointly declared Monday. The merger is the largest in a slew of recent purchases by First American, which will keep majority ownership, the company declared.

Mortgage Lenders Files for Ch. 11 - 2007-02-05
Mortgage Lenders Network USA Inc., which targets borrowers with weak credit, filed for bankruptcy-court protection Monday, the latest in a slew of subprime home-loan providers to be hit by less robust home sales and higher delinquencies. The Middletown, Conn.-based lender has identified more than 7,000 creditors and listed assets and debts of over $100 million each.
