Beijing tries to limit real estate speculation by foreigners - 2007-02-05
Government agencies in Beijing have introduced rules barring foreigners from owning more than one house in the capital city as China seeks to hold back speculation that has helped caused property prices to soar. The rules also apply to residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the Beijing Construction Commission and four other municipal-level government bodies declared in a joint statement released Thursday.

U.S. Economy: Growth in Service Industries Quickens - 2007-02-05
Growth at service industries picked up more than expected last month, the latest sign the U.S. economy is recovering from last year's slowdown. The Institute for Supply Management's non-manufacturing index climbed to 59.0, the highest since May, from 56.7 in December. Service industries make up close to 90 percent of gross domestic product.
