Refinance Mortgage Applicants Seek Best Deals - 2007-03-02
The housing market has made headlines for months, and many homeowners who choose to reside in their current home are deciding to do a refinance mortgage. Applications are 23 percent higher over last year, and some are wondering how to make sure they're getting the best deal, WESH 2 News reported. Ken Renner invested a lot of money into his home in Seminole County, including $40,000 for new cabinets.

As homeowners default, riskier mortgage loans depart - 2007-03-02
Homeowners with less than stellar credit histories are finding it more difficult to get mortgages or refinance homes because softening in the housing market is making lenders less likely to take up riskier loans. A few lenders of subprime mortgages have shown signs of difficulty after the housing bubble burst and more homeowners started defaulting on high-interest mortgages.
